Greetings!

I'm a relative newbie to international amateur radio, have been on HF since 13th of September 2003 though have been a ham since 1983 (previous call ZL4TFX).

Other calls - ZM4M (Contest call), ZL4M, ZM4PW and /P variants.

Decided to go HF afer plenty of help, advice and encouragement from my good matets Bill, W5USM and Stan ZL4OW. Decided not to wait for CW to be removed and passed the "demanding" 5 wpm test. Have since enjoyed many, many CW QSOs and is now my mode of preference.

I'm not new to DXing however, have been a SW/MW DXer since 1974 and continue to be very active in this field. See a profile at radiodx.com

My equipment consists of an Elecraft K3, IC-706MK2G, a 3 element SteppIR at 8m high and a 10 metre (33ft) vertical. I have recently established a remote site, please see the Waianakarua DX blog.

I'm much more a DXer than a rag-chewer, so you'll find me mostly on the DX-scene. I chase new entities, IOTA, special prefixes etc and am a keen contester.

Hope to work plenty of DX!

Vy 73 and kia ora (good health!),

Paul
